At the Vienna Spanish Film Festival, we bring these voices to the heart of Europe — showcasing films that move effortlessly between light and shadow, joy and melancholy, tradition and innovation. Across four days, Vienna becomes a meeting place for filmmakers, industry professionals, and audiences who share a love for storytelling. On 23 April 2026 at 19:00, the doors of the legendary Gartenbaukino open for our Opening Gala — a celebration of cinema, creativity, and connection. The gala introduces the first film of the festival and brings together filmmakers, partners, and our audience for a night that blends elegance with excitement. The red carpet, the warm lights, the anticipation before the first scene — it’s a moment that captures the essence of what this festival stands for: storytelling that brings people together.
From the first frame to the final applause, this evening marks the beginning of four unforgettable days in Vienna.
